Proof of Personhood
Proof of Personhood is a cryptographic guarantee that a wallet or account belongs to one unique real human — not a bot, sybil, or duplicate. TrustLayer builds this from peer vouches, on-chain history, and Merkle-anchored Trust Scores.
Trust Score
Trust Score is a 0–1000 number computed from peer vouches, streaks, and on-chain activity — a portable reputation metric anchored to your wallet on Base.
Vouching
Vouching is a cryptographic peer signature that says "this wallet belongs to a real human I know." Each mutual vouch strengthens both parties’ Trust Scores.
Sybil Resistance
Sybil resistance is the ability of a network to reject fake or duplicate identities. TrustLayer achieves this via weighted peer vouches, streak decay, and on-chain proofs.
Trust ID
A Trust ID is a wallet-verified, human-readable handle (like @alice) linked to a Merkle-anchored on-chain identity on Base.
Blue Badge
The Blue Badge is a soul-bound NFT on Base awarded to Trust IDs with a Trust Score above the verification threshold — a cryptographic blue checkmark.
Soul-Bound Token (SBT)
A Soul-Bound Token is an NFT that cannot be sold or transferred. TrustLayer issues SBTs for badges, vouches, and streak milestones so reputation cannot be bought.
Merkle Anchoring
Merkle anchoring publishes a compact hash of many off-chain records on-chain so any dApp can cryptographically verify inclusion without contacting a server.
Mutual Sign
Mutual Sign is a two-way vouch where both wallets sign each other’s identity in the same session — the strongest form of peer verification on TrustLayer.
