    Wallet-Bound Recovery Guide

Because your Trust ID is derived from your wallet, recovery is straightforward — as long as you have backed up correctly.

    What to back up

    1. Your wallet seed phrase (single source of truth)
    2. The optional 12-word TrustLayer recovery phrase (encrypts your local vault)
    3. Your handle claim receipt (auto-emailed if you enabled email)

    Restoring on a new device

Install TrustLayer → Import wallet → Sign the standard EIP-191 message. Your Trust ID, vouches, badges, and score reappear instantly because everything lives on Base and in the wallet-scoped local vault.

    Key rotation

You can migrate your Trust ID to a new wallet by signing a rotation payload with the old wallet. All vouches, badges, and score follow.
