Vouching is the atomic unit of the TrustLayer reputation graph. Two wallets exchange EIP-191 signatures over a shared payload, producing a portable, verifiable proof of mutual trust.
Open TrustLayer → Vouch → QR. The other person scans, both wallets sign the same nonce, and the proof is written to Base. Latency is under 5 seconds on a modern phone.
Send a vouch request from any TrustLayer chat. The recipient reviews your handle, badges, and shared network, then countersigns. The result is identical to an in-person vouch.
Each accepted vouch adds points to your Trust Score, weighted by the sender’s own score, tenure, and network overlap. Vouches from strangers count for less; vouches from long-trusted peers count for more.
