    Proof of Humanity

    Each profile is bound to a wallet signature (EIP‑191). No biometric uploads, no centralized identity provider — just a cryptographic proof that one human, one wallet, signed once.

    Zero Centralized Server

    Identities, chats and preferences live only on the user’s device, encrypted with AES‑256‑GCM. The blockchain is used strictly as a trust engine for proofs and Soulbound Tokens.

    Reputation as a Public Good

    Trust is earned through unique, diverse, repeated human interactions — never bought. The TrustLayer score weights uniqueness, diversity, breadth and age of proofs.

    Sybil-Resistant

    Per-device fingerprint commitments and rate limits keep automated farming out. Only proofs that survive validation contribute to a wallet’s reputation.

    How a Proof becomes Trust

      Connect & sign

      A user connects a wallet and signs a one-time challenge (EIP‑191). No transaction, no funds moved.

      Local identity

      A keypair, encrypted recovery phrase and device fingerprint are generated and stored only on the device.

      Interact

      Two verified humans co-sign an interaction proof. The proof carries both signatures plus context (timestamp, location bucket, type).

      Anchor

      A hash of the proof is anchored on-chain via a Soulbound Token contract. The raw proof never leaves your device.

      Score

      The trust algorithm weights uniqueness (40%), diversity (25%), breadth (20%) and age (15%), with a small wallet bonus.

    What is the Human Trust Layer?

    TrustLayer Protocol — also called the Human Trust Layer — is an open, decentralized reputation layer for the internet. It lets any wallet prove it represents a unique human and accumulate verifiable, portable trust across apps.

    How does TrustLayer differ from KYC?

    KYC ties identity to a centralized provider and personal documents. TrustLayer never sees your documents or your raw address — only a salted hash and signed proofs. Reputation is built from real human interactions, not paperwork.

    Where is my data stored?

    All sensitive data — keys, recovery phrases, chat history — stays on your device, encrypted. Only minimal public metadata (handle, hashed wallet, public proofs) is published to the network.

    Can a profile be faked?

    No. Every claim is signed by the wallet that owns the address. Proofs are validated by counter-signatures from other verified humans, and weighted by the trust algorithm.
